The SUS Diocese Mission Experience Trip is an annual event under the auspices and direct leadership of His Grace Bishop Youssef. Our focus is on the mission ministries and evangelization efforts of the Coptic Orthodox Church in diverse and multicultural societies. This opportunity fosters personal spiritual growth and cultural appreciation. Participants on this trip will share in various services according to the needs of the hosting diocese with opportunities to serve people of all ages. We will share in every aspect of the culture as much as possible. Each participant will be assigned specific duties as needed. All services are consistent in holistically serving the individual, family, and community.
The mission experience will include Divine Liturgies, Bible studies, services to children, youth, families, seminarians, colleges, orphanages, medical outreach, in villages and at other spiritual meetings and gatherings. We will also enjoy some excursions to experience the beautiful landscape and history of Indonesia.
The service of missions is a special calling. The daily activities are intense and will entail long hours and distance travel by land, sea, and air. We ask each person contemplating joining this trip to pray and carefully consider if the rigor of this program is personally suitable.

Note: Because of the locations of our lodgings, distance to the airport, heavy traffic, and limited transportation, all participants must arrive on Monday, June 15, 2020 and leave by Friday, June 26, 2020. ATTENDEES: 24 Persons Maximum
Participants must be 18 years of age or older and completed high school by the beginning of the trip or be accompanied by one or both parents or a legal guardian for the duration of the trip.
The group MUST remain together throughout the trip. No partial trip attendance will be accepted. During the trip, everyone is expected to attend all prayers, liturgies, praises, lectures, services, reflections, and meals together.
COST: $1,450.00 USD Per Person
In order to secure reasonable transportation and lodging, arrangements will be paid in advance immediately upon close of registration. Kindly consider all your obligations prior to registering.
REFUND POLICY: $250 NON-REFUNDABLE (tax-deductible) + ALL expenses and fees paid in advance on your behalf will be deducted and a check with the remaining balance will be mailed for the refund.
If once you register, but later decide to cancel, you cannot give your spot to someone else. The next person on the waiting list will be notified for that vacant spot.
ROOMING: 2 persons per room. Attendees may choose roommates. Please indicate in the comments section.
